We developed a scheme for three new houses in the grounds of a Grade II listed Manor House in an area of outstanding natural beauty in Gloucestershire. The main traditional house is perched on top of a hill, and as the contours slope away, the contemporary houses are cut into the foot the slope and buried within the landscape, with reflecting planes of water forming a pond on the roof of each house.
